Procedure to apply for Japan Visa from London, UK

Mail your application to the address listed below together with all the necessary documentation for your visa category. If you are submitting your application as a family group or workgroup.

A copy of your application receipt will be mailed to you after it has been received as valid. You must visit the Embassy on the day and at the hour specified on the application receipt in order to pick up your passport or passports and pay any necessary visa fees (in cash only). The scheduled collection date and time cannot be altered.

If applicable, provide one photo of each of the following as proof of a current UK residency permit or entry clearance.
photocopy of the BRP card(both sides).
photocopy of UK Residence Permit/Entry Clearance in passport and a photocopy of the permit.
‘Your immigration status’ printout from gov.uk showing your name, ID photo, immigration status, and ‘Share code’.
Russian, Azerbaijani, Armenian, Ukrainian, Georgian, Belarusian, Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Moldovan, Tajik, Turkmenistani, and Uzbek citizens must submit TWO visa application papers as well as TWO identical passport-sized photos.
You should provide an original of each document.
Even after processing the application, we never return any of the submitted documentation. Therefore, send the original document along with a photocopy if you want to save any original documents.

A visa will typically be issued 7 working days after a proper application has been submitted. Please be sure to apply well in advance because it will take around 2 weeks from the date of mailing your application to the Embassy before you can pick up your passport.
