Procedure to apply for Italy Visa from London, UK

  • Fill out the application for a visa, finish it, print it, and bring it with you to the Visa Application Center to submit it.
  • Your visa application should be submitted no later than six months before the intended departure date. Please be aware that if you are a UK resident, you must apply in person at the Visa Application Centre.
  • You must make an appointment at a visa application center to get your fingerprints and photo taken after you have submitted your visa application. This is referred to as “biometric data.”

Types of visa

1. Tourist

  • Every applicant, including children and newborns, must submit their Schengen visa application in person and only by appointment on their scheduled appointment day.

2. Business

  • Every business visa application must be supported by a letter of invitation from a local Italian company; otherwise, the applicant must apply for a tourist visa.

3. Diplomatic Visa

  • You must apply for a visa at the Consulate of the country that is your primary destination if you want to travel to one or more Schengen countries in a single trip (i.e. where you will stay longer). The visa MUST be requested at the consulate of the Schengen Country port of entry if, throughout the course of your trip, you will spend an equivalent amount of time in multiple countries.
