Types of visa
1. Visa on Arrival
- After you land at the Dili International Airport or Dili Seaport, a visa on arrival is provided. After payment, it is granted for a single entrance and allows stays of up to 30 days.
- You should check with your individual airlines to see if they permit boarding without a visa. Verify if there are any international connections that require a separate transit visa.
2. Ordinary class I visas
- Class II visas are transit visas, whereas class I visas are typically business and tourist visas. Regular class I visas allow entry into Timor Leste for either business or tourists with a 90-day stay cap.
3. Regular tourist visa
- You can visit Timor Leste on an ordinary tourist visa to go on holiday or to engage in leisure activities. The embassy must receive its application.
4. Business visa
- If you want to conduct non-profit business operations, you can enter the country on a standard business visa. Its application procedure and essential paperwork are comparable to those of a tourist visa.
5. Transit visa
- When traveling to another nation, a class II or transit visa enables you to pass through Timor Leste. You can also alter international flights in a domestic airport thanks to it. The maximum validity period for this single entry visa is 72 hours.
